Title: Smithsonian National Folk Festival ( 2015)

Brief: Negotiation with national, state and local organizing bodies to feature a special Montagnard community venue in 2015, and subsequent features of music and dance performances in 2016, 2017.

Outcomes:

• Entire first floor of the Greensboro Historical Museum used by the community to showcase its culture

• 500+ attendees on the first day of the Montagnard special event 

• Leads to formal creation of the Montagnard American Organization
